With spring just around the corner, many of us are gearing up to the annual "Spring Clean" of our homes. However, this year, why not leave the vacuuming to the robots?

Budget supermarket Lidl is selling a robot vacuum cleaner - and you'll be pleased to know that it has a price tag of just £79.99 ($104 USD) - 33% cheaper than the retail price, according to The Sun.

While most brands specializing in household appliances such as vacuum cleaners will cost you an arm and a leg, this brand new item is well under £100. This means even those of you on a tight budget will be able to get your hands on one.

In fact, Lidl ran a similar deal back in 2018 and it proved incredibly popular with shoppers.

To get an idea of just how much you could be saving, brands such as Dyson and Roomba typically sell similar products for hundreds more.

Known as the Vileda VR One Cleaning Robot, the hoover is launching in-store today. But, of course, you can also purchase one online.

The product is a "vacuum robot with 2 cleaning programs for thoroughly removing dust and hair from hard floors and short pile carpets," the budget supermarket writes as part of the item's description.

It "effortlessly" cleans difficult to reach corners, edges and under the furniture with an intelligent navigation system with sensors to avoid stairs.

Furthermore, it features a soft bumper that protects furniture and has XL suction opening for extra cleaning coverage.

The product, which has a two-year warranty, also comes with a 500ml dust box with a double filter system for cleaning and includes a rechargeable Li-Ion battery, charger, and maintenance brush. According to Lidl, its running time when fully charged is 80 minutes.

"The Vileda Cleaning Robot launches in-store on 30 January, meaning that shoppers will have to be quick if they want to clean up this great offer," the supermarket explains.
