A man is demanding that his girlfriend pay him "royalties" as she brings home nearly $10,000 a month while posting on OnlyFans.

OnlyFans can be a divisive topic, especially amongst couples. But the site has turned into a very lucrative way for people to make money.

For those unfamiliar with the platform, OnlyFans is a subscription-based service where people may fees to see content from creators - and it has mainly been taken over with sexual content.

Dimitri, 30, wants his girlfriend to cough up some of the AU$15,000 ($10,000) a month she makes on the platform, and they even appeared on the Kyle and Jackie O Show to discuss it.

The couple admitted that they split rent and bills equally, but Dimitri claims he is "expected" to pay for dinner when they go out on date nights.

Feeling a bit hard done by, the 30-year-old bricklayer said: "I allowed her to start [OnlyFans] because times were a bit tough and finances were hard to come by. Now that she's raking in all this money I feel like I'm just being pushed to the side.

"She's making big dollars. If I told you the figure, you probably wouldn't believe it. At the moment she's keeping it all to herself - it's pretty frustrating. I just don't think it's fair."

He explained that his girlfriend used to work in recruitment and earned a "steady wage" but after he "let her" post images on OnlyFans, things really took off.

"She sits at home and sends her photos. I allow her to do it and we had a talk about it," Dimitri said. "She's happy to buy herself fancy shoes and bags, but I'm still paying for dinners. If I'm going to allow this to keep happening, I think I should be financially rewarded as well."

Jackie 'O' Henderson, the presenter, took issue with Dimitri's attitude, stating that she felt like he was "entitled" and that using language such as "allowing" is disrespectful.

It would seem that jealousy is starting to creep into Dimitri's relationship, as he questions whether he can stay with his girlfriend as things have "gone too far".

Listeners were not overly happy with Dimitri and the terminology he used when describing his girlfriend's job, as they flooded the radio show with their thoughts.

"My issue is with the language you're using. If he had said he was supporting his partner in doing this, that's a different matter, then they can support each other financially. You don't have the right to allow her to do that or tell her what she should give you," one listener said.

Dimitri argued back at this, stating that he was being supportive by "allowing" his girlfriend to make money posting sexual content of herself online.

Another listener questioned Dimitri's ego, while a male listener called in to state that Dimitri was being "disrespected" by his girlfriend.

The caller said: "She's disrespecting you, bro. Wake up to yourself. Are you for real? She's your girlfriend, she's your woman."

Some of the terminology being used is sure to ruffle feathers... what are your thoughts on the matter? Let us know in the comments!
