Man leaves social media users 'flabbergasted' with PlayStation 2 hack - 20 years after its release
One of the most sought after presents of Christmas 2020 is the PlayStation 5, but there are plenty of people still enjoying its predecessors to this day.
Now, a man has left social media users "flabbergasted" with a previously unknown PlayStation 2 hack - 20 years after the console's initial release in 2000.
The man, who posts videos under the handle @dkoldies on TikTok, has gone viral after sharing "one of his favorite features of the PS2 that nobody seems to know about".
A black classic edition of the console can be seen lying down in the video, before the man says: "So a lot of people lay their PS2 horizontally like this, but what if you only have room to set it upright like this."

The man then repositions the PS2 console before saying: "Well now the PlayStation symbol is facing the wrong way... Don't worry, Sony thought of that."
After this, he proceeds to twist the PlayStation symbol so that it is facing the correct way.
"Ahh, that's better," he adds.
The hack was later tried out by TikTok user @bodmayan, who was left in total disbelief at what the two-decade-old console could do.
"TikTok hasn't let me down yet," he says as he tries the hack out for himself.

When the PlayStation symbol moves into place, bodymayan is left in shock and says: "My entire life has been a lie."
Bodmayan's video has now been viewed over 1.2 million times and Dkoldies original clip has had an equally impressive 600K views, with thousands of TikTok users rushing to the respective comments sections to express their disbelief over the previously unknown hack:
And just in case you're still in love with your retro consoles, the trick can also be done on the PS3!
