A man has received overwhelming praise for candidly sharing his quick and easy technique for hiding his receding hairline.
Hair loss in men is common. In fact, according to Healthline, more than 50% of men over the age of 50 will be affected by male pattern baldness to some extent. Additionally, hair loss can also be caused by other factors, such as stress and a number of illnesses.
However (and speaking from experience), men who experience hair loss can often find themselves the subject of ridicule and jokes. Some guys are able to take the comments in their stride, but others can find hair loss a difficult thing to come to terms with.
Personally, I believe grabbing the clippers and shaving it all off is often the best (and cheapest) solution. Rock the chrome dome. But some men opt to take a more cosmetic route in order to conceal the fact that they're follically challenged.
And one man who has shined a light on this is TikTok user Kegs (@kegs97), who has shared a candid tutorial sharing how he conceals in receding hairline.
In just one day, Kegs' video has amassed over 2.4 million views, and people were fascinated with how the social media user managed to create his look.
The video reveals how Kegs uses a dark root spray to create the illusion of a fuller hairline, before using straighteners and styling products to hold his remaining hair in place.
"So this is how I hide my fat receding hairline on a budget," he says.
And despite receiving a small handful of ignorant comments, many TikTok users were quick to praise Kegs for sharing his technique and talking about something that a lot of men feel ashamed to discuss.
One person wrote: "Well done for being so brave and sharing this with us, that can't of been easy."

Another TikToker wrote: "That's so well done. Would never know - looks good! You'd also look good completely bald too, your smile is more attractive than anything."

A third wrote: "Very creative - well done for putting yourself out there - I'm sure there will be plenty of fellas will be glad of the tip [sic]."

Others were also quick to point out that it is more socially acceptable for women to wear hair products and makeup, and that it should be no different for men:

In response to any negative comments, Kegs took to the comments section to say: "For anyone giving me [poop emoji], no I won't go bald $ no I'm not really self conscious about it, I just like to make myself look as best I possibly can."

Of course, there is absolutely no shame in losing your hair - but if techniques like Kegs' can help somebody feel more confident in themselves, then live and let live.
