A man has set the bar when it comes to proposals, as he popped the question using a ring that he was hiding in plain sight weeks before the big day.
Getting married is a huge moment in anyone's life, because (hopefully) you're ready to settle down with the person you love the most in the world.
Because you love them so much, you probably want the proposal to be the best it absolutely can be, right?
That could involve an extravagant plan with a flash mob, or perhaps a quiet walk to somewhere sentimental - and everything in between.
One man decided to document the lead-up to his engagement by flashing the wedding ring to his bride-to-be when she wasn't looking, and the outcome is amazing!
Eden Scaife's boyfriend-turned-fiancé pulled off an unconventional proposal that left TikTok users gushing.
The captivating video, which has since garnered a staggering 14.9 million views, features several clips showcasing the boyfriend's elaborate proposal preparation.
What sets this proposal apart is the ingenious, yet slightly nerve-wracking, approach taken by Scaife's beau. He managed to keep the engagement ring in plain sight, right under his unsuspecting partner's nose.
In one segment of the video, Scaife's boyfriend can be seen nonchalantly concealing the engagement ring behind his coffee cup during a leisurely walk with Scaife.
Another segment captures him holding the ring discreetly behind her head as she tended to her car's tire, blissfully unaware of the precious cargo hiding in plain sight, before he boldly even rested it on her back for another snap.
"Because proposing apparently wasn’t stressful enough for him," Scaife captioned the video.
Naturally, people flooded the comments with their thoughts, as one person wrote: "I know he was getting an adrenaline rush when he took each pic," and a second added: "Bro’s foreshadowing the proposal."
A third person said: "Bro was getting way too confident with those close encounters," while a fourth added: "My husband did this too. After our proposal he goes, 'I told the dogs first' & showed me a pic of my ring & our dogs."
One particular moment from the montage that had TikTok users in stitches was when Scaife's boyfriend took a video selfie with her in the background.
While capturing the video, he nonchalantly flashed a peace sign, showcasing the engagement ring on his finger. The unexpected peace sign gesture added an extra layer of amusement to the proposal.
"The peace sign is killing me," a viewer commented, to which Scaife responded: "I looked straight at the camera and didn’t see it."
He played a dangerous game, but it turned out great in the end!
