A McDonald's fanatic has shared an easy hack for getting fresh, hot fries every time.

Food blogger Jonny Massaad took to Instagram last month to explain how you can avoid the devastation that is lukewarm fries with a simple hack when you make your McDonald's order.

He said that if you want yours cooked from scratch (and therefore hotter and fresher), all you have to do is ask for fries without salt.

Jonny went on to prove that the hack works by ordering two packets of fries, one with salt and one without.

Watch the brilliant hack below:

"Another Maccas hack, order chips without salt and they'll be fresher than the ones with salt because they have to be made from fresh," Jonny explained.

To prove his theory, he placed a thermometer in each batch of fries.

The salted fries coming in at 24.3 degrees and the fries without salt coming in at 36.9 degrees, proving the effectiveness of the hack.

Reacting to the video, one fast-food fan explained that it's really not the best idea if you want to make the staff's lives easy.

They wrote: "This makes their job 10 times harder especially in busy periods, just ask for fresh fries..."

Meanwhile, a more brazen Instagram user decided to take the hack a step further and ask for sachets of salt after ordering.

They wrote: "I used to do this and I was so cocky with it that I would ask them for salt sachets after they gave me my food.. lol."

Another person explained that this hack is not without a downside, and it will mean that you have to wait longer for your food.

They wrote: "Yeah but you also have to wait like 10mins for some chips soooooo. [sic]"

Alongside a crying emoji, another wrote: "But their salt is so good."

So, what do you think of this McDonald's hack? Will you be inconveniencing your server to get warmer fries, or will you accept them as they come?
