McDonald's customers have taken to social media to complain about the fast-food chain's new Millionaire's Lattes, claiming that they nothing like the promotional photos of the beverages, the Daily Mail reports.

In early November, McDonald's unveiled its Christmas menu which included the millionaire's latte and a toffee latte.

Unfortunately, many were disappointed that the festive hot drinks they were served were a far cry from the versions seen in official pictures - and they took to Twitter to share the damning evidence.

"@McDonaldsUK What the f**k is this? It's supposed to be a millionaire's latte, f**king scheme latte," tweeted a disappointed customer.

"Not impressed by your millionaire latte's," another agreed. "They look unrecognisable from your posters!"

Check out this footage of a group of vegans storming McDonald's in protest of their meat options - all while clad in pig masks:

"How hard is it to put cream on a toffee latte @McDonaldsUK?" quipped a third.

And the hate just kept pouring in:

"Ah man I don't even drink coffee but those @McDonaldsUK photos of the millionaire latte had me stopping by..." a different person wrote.

"Don't believe the hype... No fancy toppings and just a sweet latte #disappointed #millionairelatte," added another.

Per Sun Online, a McDonald's spokesperson said this in response to the complaints:

"As with any cream on top of a hot drink, if left for a period of time, our swirl of cream and a toffee drizzle will blend into the latte. Most of our customers are loving it too much to leave it that long, but if it does melt then you'll still get all of the great flavours, just combined with your drink instead of on top."

Prices vary based on the branch, but generally, a medium costs £1.99 and a large sets you back £2.29.
