It seems that everybody and their cat has an opinion on OnlyFans these days, but just in case you're out of the loop, let me give you a brief introduction.

OnlyFans is a social media platform that launched back in 2016, in which "Creators" run a paid subscription service, in which they produce exclusive content for their subscribers, or "fans". Now, it doesn't have to be used to sell nudes - but damn! People can make A LOT of money selling nudes on the site.

Now, I'm all for people making money however they like (as long as it is legal), but for 24-year-old Kirsten Vaughn, her OnlyFans page actually resulted in her losing her day job at Don Ayres Honda dealership in Fort Wayne, where she was training to be a mechanic.

Speaking to Buzzfeed News, Vaughn revealed that she had started her OnlyFans account back in January as a way to make some extra money in order to pay off her student loans and mortgage, and eventually start saving so she can open her own shop and work on race cars.

But when her coworkers at the dealership discovered her OnlyFans account via her Instagram page, she says that her former colleagues would often comment about her, watch her videos while at work, and sexually harass her.

Now, you'd think that her employers would have punished those in the wrong, but they fired Kirsten back in February instead.

Vaughn told Buzzfeed: "If the guys just would’ve watched their porn at home, none of this would’ve happened. But instead of looking at it like, 'Hey, the guys are kind of creepy', it’s, 'Oh well, you’re the girl that brought this to their attention, and you’re responsible.'"

Vaughn later shared the news of her firing on Twitter - where she is known as Ms Red - along with a video of her replacing an air conditioning system. She wrote alongside the clip: "Really a shame they had to fire me for having my only fans page, cuz I got down at my dealership."

Vaughn's tweet went viral shortly after, receiving 5.8K likes and 1.1K retweets.

"I was a phenomenal employee with a perfect record that never got in trouble," Vaughn told Buzzfeed, adding: "When I went to work and I was on the clock, I did my job and I was good at it. I was appropriate when I was at work. I wore my uniform. I did what I had to do."

Fortunately, she's not going to let one bad experience get her down, and has revealed in a recent tweet: "Since being fired for sexwork, I'd say the best revenge is success and happiness, I will be doing OF full time, and working on getting the rest of my ASE certifications! As well as working on my MIG welding skills, onward and upward, I will be stronger from this experience"

Vaughn has since told Buzzfeed that her experience "highlights how sex workers are not properly protected and it can also be used as a lesson learned for people who want to keep their day job".
