A mom has ignited a debate after her act of revenge against an "inconsiderate" shopper who didn't let her cut in the line.
Lani Hyde, a social media influencer with over 41,000 followers, took to TikTok to ask whether she was in the wrong about the bizarre situation.
Hyde recounted the incident, expressing frustration over a fellow shopper who, in her opinion, refused to let her go first in line despite having only two items and a tantrum-ing toddler in tow.
The social media influencer described the situation, saying: "I saw this put-together lady, she was eyeballing me and greasing me off because obviously, Hudson’s squeal was p***ing her off, [just] like it was p***ing me off, but like, what do you do? You can’t tell them to shut up because they just don’t f***ing listen."
She went on: "I had to line up behind the lady that was eyeballing me. And guess what? It wasn’t her turn yet, there was still someone in front of her that was like finishing up their groceries, and she’s seen that I only had these two [items] and I’m like, holding Hudson and he’s slapping and scratching me, and she kind of just greased me off and looked me up and down and continued stacking her stuff up on the counter and did not let me go in front of her for two little things."
When it was her turn, she decided to take matters into her own hands and take revenge. Hyde explained her retaliation, stating: "I took her eggs and bacon and her butter that was at the back of the pile. I just sat it back towards me, put those [her items] in front of it, and I bought them."
Hyde defended her actions, questioning if she was in the wrong for taking some of the woman's items and buying them herself, and sharing her husband's disapproval of her revenge. Despite the divided opinions, Hyde's video has sparked a lively debate among viewers.

Some were not happy with Hyde's behavior, as one person stated: "What makes you think you that you deserve to go ahead cause you have a child acting up? The [world] doesn’t revolve around you."
A second added: "You’re in the wrong, no one owes you anything. The fact you have a misbehaving child, again still doesn’t mean you’re entitled to anything."
Though not everyone thought that Hyde was in the wrong, as another person said: "100% love this. It’s not hard to be a nice person, nice people get eggs and bacon!"
Another supporter added: "It's like an unwritten courtesy rule to let someone infront if they have barely anything and you have heaps. You took this next level and I love!!!!"
It's a pretty strange set of circumstances, but personally, I believe queue etiquette is sacred and nobody should be forced to let another go in front.
What do you think?
