A mom has revealed that her 10-month-old spent $10,000 on a Tesla upgrade... and it's not refundable.

TikTok user @stayfitstaylit took to the app to reveal that her baby son had spent $10,837.50 on Tesla's "full self-driving package" when he managed to get access to its app.

Watch the viral TikTok below:

She said that she had no idea her 10-month-old had spent such a huge sum until she received her bank statement.

Sadly, by the time she realized that the expensive purchase had been made, it was too late, as it was "Non-refundable 48 hours after the purchase."

The TikTok user then called into question the security features on the Tesla app, which, to her, are falling more than a little short if this ordeal is anything to go by.

She asks: "Why isn't there a password of security measure before you could make this purchase?"

The mom followed this up with a receipt proving that her son was able to make the expensive purchase without any questions asked.

The TikTok did not go unnoticed and soon went viral, receiving over a million views and 216.2K likes at the time of writing.

Some criticized the mom for letting her son have access to the app in the first place.

One wrote: "Why u let a 10 month old on an IPad lmao probably wouldn't have happened if u hung out with him [sic]."

A second added: "Don't blame him it was you."

However, as the old saying goes, every cloud has a silver lining, as this TikTok user pointed out when they wrote: "Worth it... you should've bought it in the first place."

A fourth simply joked: "But imagine having 10K in [the] bank and not [noticing] that lol."

While a fifth added: "Plot twist, the autopilot saves them from getting in [an] accident 2 months later. Maybe the baby was [onto] something."

The mom has since responded to the criticism on TikTok, claiming that her son was only able to access the app because she was busy feeding him at the time.

So, if you happen to be a Tesla owner, make sure that you don't let your kids anywhere near the app!
