Summer is well and truly here - and I know this because over the last few nights I have woken up in a pool of my own sweat wishing it was winter all over again.
However, there are many positives that come with hot weather. For example, we get to enjoy ice cream guilt-free, we can spend more time out of our homes and away from our screens, and we can relax in our backyards with a BBQ and a beer just waiting for 2020 to finally come to an end.
But with temperatures soaring, many of us will be looking to cool off and go for a refreshing swim... the only problem there is that a lot of public pools are still closed and the best beaches are overcrowded.
Fortunately, one TikTok mom has shared the perfect way you can make your own swimming pool out of your family's old trampoline - and it didn't cost her more than $45!
Check out the incredible backyard hack below:Taking to the social media platform, Samantha Ritchie from England captioned her now widely-circulated hack: "Watch till the end!!! #fyp #foryoupage #foryou #tramopline #swimmingpool #diy #budgeting #36pound #hot".
In the video, the family strips their trampoline to just the bare metal frame.
They then line the frame with a huge tarpaulin - something that is easy to find at any DIY or trade center.
Next, she used black shrink-wrap and an industrial Saran wrap to seal the "pool".
The final steps? Fill with water, chuck the kids in, and enjoy the summer without getting overheated.
And they're not the only family to do this:
In just two days, the video has already been viewed over 1.5 million times, and TikTok users took to the comments section to heap praise on the heatwave hack.

One user wrote: "Omg that’s such a cool idea!"
And another echoed this, typing: "This is such a good idea!!"
However, some TikTok users were quick to point out perhaps the most glaring problem:

I guess we'll come to that problem when summer is over!
