Sadly, another day has gone by where a woman has been told what she can or cannot wear by a total stranger.
This instance came when Canadian news anchor Kori Sidaway was sent a disrespectful email slamming her choice of outfit as she presented a news broadcast for CHEK News in Victoria, Canada on September 6.
Sharing screenshots of the rude email, along with the two images they had attached to the message, Sidaway took to Twitter to share with her followers the attacking message she had been sent.
She wrote: "This screenshot was sent to me and my colleagues in an attempt to shame and police my body. Well, I’m taking my power back.
"To the nameless computer warrior(s) who try to reduce women into an outfit or a body part — this generation of women, doesn’t stand for harassment."

Alongside an image of Sidaway was a screenshot of the email, which read:
"BREAKING NEWS
"TOO MUCH CLEAVAGE CAN BREAK YOUR NEWS STORY
"Don't let it happen to you.
"Episode: Sunday Sept. 6 5-7 PM.
"Attached are 2 photos. What you think we see and what we actually see.
"Dress appropriately, it was hard work to get there.
"Thanks, Vancouver Island Cleavage Patrol."
Another attached image showed a woman wearing a white top that showed more of her chest area - meant to represent "what we [presumably the viewers] actually see".

Sidaway was fortunately flooded with support are her post was retweeted over 580 times.

One Twitter user wrote: "My husband just showed this to me and I am so angry!!!
"Absolutely nothing wrong with what you wore. You should wear it again next time you anchor just to prove a point."

And journalist Penny Daflos responded, writing: "The top is beautiful and there was nothing wrong with it. The keyboard critics need to shut up because no one cares about their antiquated ideas or sexist opinions.
"Women journalists aren’t there to be ogled, we’re there to do our job. Full stop."

After an outpouring of support, Kori once again took to Twitter to thank everyone for their kind words and for helping her to feel "supported" and "empowered".

She wrote: "Well this kind of blew up...Thank you all for sharing your own stories & kind words. I feel so much less alone, so supported and so much more empowered. You helped take my lemon and made lemonade. Thank you."
So, the next time you feel like shaming a person because of what they're wearing... just don't.
