Following last week's hot debate over what you call the game when you knock on somebody's door and run away, people are now divided over the correct name for flavored ice sticks.

You all know the ones I'm talking about - they were simply brightly-colored flavored frozen sticks that wouldn't cost more than the loose change at the bottom of your pocket.

The debate was kicked off by Twitter user NorCal Zuckers, who asked his near-7,000 followers: "What do you call these? I’ll start: Freezies."

With "Freezies"  being wrong - the correct answer is obviously "Ice Poles" - a host of other people decided to share their incorrect answers.

The first popular incorrect answer was "Otter Pops", which was shared by a number of other Twitter users:

Others believed the cool treat was called a "Zooper Dooper" (seriously, what's wrong with you people?):

Another frequent suggestion was "freezies":

And then we had a selection of variants all based around the words "freeze" and "ice", such as...

"Freeze Pops":
"Ice Pops":
"Tip Tops":

A lot of people suggested "popsicle", but as anybody with who attended kindergarten will know, popsicles have sticks, so stop with that nonsense.

Now, what is surprising is that nobody offered the correct answer - which, as I stated before, is "Ice Pole". Who would have thought so many people could be wrong about one little thing, eh?

What do you call these frozen treats? Let us know in the comments section.
