I don't know about you, but I miss nature.
However, the current global situation means that so many of us are spending weeks on end self-isolating in our homes with only the people we live with for company. And due to lockdown rules, whenever we do get out of the house, it is to go for a quick run or to the grocery store for essentials.
At a time like this, it becomes clear how much I miss the city farm around the corner, or going for a day out to the nearest wildlife reserve, or just escaping reality by staring at a giant tank in an aquarium.
In addition - and I cannot stress this enough - I am really, REALLY bored.
But thanks to Google, there is now a way you can bring some of the most spectacular creatures on the planet into your own home, and people in lockdown are absolutely loving it.

First, make sure you've got the right equipment for your wild expedition. All you'll need is a smartphone or tablet - with Android users running a version of 7.0 or later, and iPhone users will require iOS 11.0 or later.
Next, just simply google the animal you wish to appear in your living room on you device. You can select from the following creatures:
So, if I wanted to see a tiger appear next to my wife, I'd simply type 'tiger' in the Google search bar.

Then, if you scroll just underneath the image search results and Wikipedia description of the animal, there will be a box that says 'Meet a life-sized tiger up close'. Next, simply click the 'View in 3D' option and then 'View in your space', and that animal will appear wherever you are - in your kitchen, bedroom, garden, wherever!

It goes without saying, but this is not just great fun for anyone who's bored, but it is a great learning tool for homeschooling kids.

Younger kids will love seeing animals they may have never seen in person, and for old children, you could teach them about how a shark's body makes it so great for swimming or the key physical differences between members of the big cat families.

This is the ultimate boredom killer - and once you start, I guarantee you won't be able to stop.
