A young woman on TikTok has shared a video of the moment a mother approached her in a park and told her to "cover up" because her swimsuit was distracting her sons.
The incident occurred when TikTok user Aurea Miranda - who boasts over 19,000 followers on the video-sharing platform - was wearing a pink string bikini to film content at upstate New York's Freedom Lake.
However, while taking videos and pictures, Aurea was approached by a disgruntled mother who said her bikini bottoms constituted being naked, and that her sons could not look away.
The video can be seen below:Their interaction was captured on video and shows the moment the unidentified mom approaches Aurea and tells her to "get her a** covered" because she not allowed to "be nude on a beach" - which she was not.
Clapping back at the mom, Aurea asks: "What do you mean? Is there a rule that says that?"
The persistent mom then insists that there is said rule, and added that her children couldn't top staring at Aurea. The mom can be heard saying:
"You see those group of boys over there? Those are my boys. They’re staring at your a** which is hanging out in the middle of a public place."
The mom then even offers to give Aurea a spare pair of shorts, asking: "Do you need a pair of shorts? Because I have an extra pair."
The mom also approached Aurea without a face covering.
In a caption on the video, Aurea revealed that employees at the site "had no problem" with her swimsuit.
Aurea later shared the video to her TikTok page, where it has amassed over 3.2 million views in two days.
The video has also amassed over 7,400 comments, many of which are people leaping to Aurea's defense and saying that the mom should be teaching her sons some respect and not to stare at women.
One commenter wrote: "Why is it always the girls fault? Teach the boys some respect."

A second added: "why she can’t teach her boys not to stare", which was echoed by a third, writing: "Teach her boys to not stare at a girl minding her own."

A fourth agreed, and commented: "Tell her to control her boys! Why does no one tell them to raise their boys better."

Another person claiming to be a parent themselves also commented, saying: "As a mom of a boy, I’m making it my business to teach him how to be respectful to people at all times. This means keeping his eyes to himself, too."
