A food truck owner has spoken out after a video of him shouting at young women went viral on social media last week.

In the video - which was posted to TikTok by user Nina Nardone (@nnnardone) - David Gilenson can be seen yelling at at group of young women after one of them opened the side of his closed food truck.

Gilenson, the owner of the Taxi Cab Burger food truck seen in the clip, shouts "No, no! Go away! Don't touch my f***ing truck" at the group after the side of the unit is opened without permission.

One of the women then says to the camera: "I touched his truck," as another woman off-screen says: "Oh my god, he's so scary".

The clip has already amassed over 8.6 million views on the video-sharing platform in less than a week, with people flooding to the comments section to defend the business owner.

One TikTok user commented: "I'm sorry this really isn't funny don't act so offended when you were clearly in the wrong."

A second typed: "Y'all literally have zero respect for people and businesses."

"Being told no for the first time is scary," a third quipped.

As a fourth person commented: "She's definitely one of those women who feel she can do whatever she wants and thinks she's cute, you clearly have no respect for anyone!"

Another TikTok user commented: "This is equivalent to breaking and entering... would you open a door to a closed restaurant? No. Don't touch his truck."

In an interview with the Daily Dot, Gilenson is now concerned about the future of his business after the video racked up millions of views online.

He told the outlet that one member of his staff has quit after realizing how easy it was for members of the public to open the serving window at any time.

The owner revealed that he and his team had been working a private event that evening in New Jersey. Providing his version of the events, he revealed that Nardone and her friends had approached the door of his truck where he informed them that it would be open in 10 minutes.

Just a few minutes later, the events of the video took place and Gilenson's reaction was recorded.

Gilenson revealed that he has been working on the road for nine years and has never "had a problem like this".

He is now concerned that future clients will opt not to book his services based on his reaction in the video.

The business owner says he has reached out to Nardone and asked for the video to be taken down - but seeing as it is still live, he also revealed that he is in the process of filing a complaint with local police.

To his relief, he told the Daily Dot that he is relieved to see so many people on his side in the comments section.
