Boarding a plane doesn't seem to be a simple thing anymore, as the debate over who gets which seat has been reignited after a plane passenger refused to move for a mother who wished to sit next to her child.
Going on vacation is always an exciting prospect, isn't it? Most of us look forward to finding a great location and letting our hair down for a while.
That being said, many of the best places to visit are quite a distance away, requiring a flight to reach, which can prove to be a stressful endeavor.
There's no guarantee that you won't sit next to a screaming baby or that your flight isn't delayed - or even that your luggage won't get lost in transit. But one thing we can be sure of is getting to sit in the seat that we prebooked... right?

It seems that even sitting down can cause issues now, as one Reddit user has penned after being confronted by a mother who requested them to vacate their seat.
As quoted by the Daily Mail, the Redditor who has since deleted their account wrote: "[The mom] asked me - and just me - to switch with her so she could have my window seat (next to her daughter) and I'd take her middle seat a row back."
"Hell to the f*** no. Not my problem they didn't book together," the Redditor went on. The audacity to ask just me and expect an inferior trade on my side."
This isn't the first time a passenger has been left bemused at a request to swap seats on an airplane as 25-year-old Audrey Peters who has over 623,000 followers on TikTok explained his situation in a video shared to the app.
The text over the video reads: "When a family asks me to switch seats on a plane so they can sit together," and the footage shows Peters happily sipping on her champagne.
"No I’m not switching for a middle seat book your flights earlier babes," the TikToker captioned the video, and it would appear that those in the comments agreed with her.
"I’m so sick of people thinking it’s ok to disrupt someone for their lack of planning," one person wrote, with a second adding: "If you’re asking to switch seats my new seat has to be equal or better than where I am now. Otherwise no dice."

Do passengers have a responsibility to move to families can sit together, or is someone else's poor planning not of importance to everyone else?
