Baba Vanga, a blind mystic who passed away in 1996, is known for her scarily accurate predictions.

And it's looking like bad news for humanity starting next year...

Known by her birth name, Vangeliya Pandeva Gushterova, her prophetic visions have persisted, proving eerily accurate over the years.

Hailing from Bulgaria, her mystic abilities reportedly manifested during a storm that robbed her of eyesight at the age of 12.

Dubbed the "Nostradamus of the Balkans", Baba Vanga's reputed accuracy rate of 85% continues to send shivers down spines as her predictions unfold beyond her lifetime, according to the Mirror.

But what has the mystic predicted that seemingly came true in the past?

The 9/11 terror attacks

In 1989, she ominously predicted: "Horror, Horror! The American brethren will fall after being attacked by the steel birds." The chilling reference to "steel birds" turned out to be the hijacked planes used by Al-Qaeda in the devastating 9/11 attacks in 2001.

The sinking of the Kursk

In 1980, Baba envisioned a tragic event in which the Russian city of Kursk would be "covered with water, and the whole world will weep over it." In August 2000, 188 crew members lost their lives when a nuclear submarine sank near Kursk, validating her foresight.

Trump's controversial reign

Allegedly foreseeing Donald Trump's presidency, she warned: "He will bring the country down, and conflicts between north and south states will escalate." Some may see this as false, while for others it will ring true.

Has this convinced you that she might actually have powers? Well, let's hope not.

According to reports cited by The New York Post, Vanga foretold a series of catastrophic events leading to humanity's ultimate demise in 5079.

While there are no official records verifying her predictions, the latest claims add to a long list of her apocalyptic visions.

So what does humanity have in store according to Baba Vanga?

2025: A conflict in Europe will devastate the continent's population.

2028: Humans will begin to explore Venus as an energy source.

2033: The polar ice caps will melt, raising sea levels to drastic heights worldwide.

2076: Communism will spread to countries across the world.

2130: Humans will make alien contact.

2170: A drought will devastate much of the world.

3005: Earth will go to war with a civilization on Mars.

3797: Humans will have to vacate the Earth because it's become uninhabitable.

5079: The world will end.

Sounds fun, doesn't it?

Luckily, I don't plan on still being around in 5079 but I'm concerned about Europe's population being reduced by a conflict.

Any chance we could make it through a year without some sort of conflict?
