The divisive vows were shared by wedding videographer Jonathan Pajak - known as @lensculture on TikTok - who captured this untraditional exchange between groom Michael and his bride, Destiny.

Wedding vows are typically heartfelt, reflecting the profound love and emotion the bride and groom feel as they pledge their lives to each other in marriage. This significant moment allows couples to express their deepest feelings and commit to each other in front of loved ones. However, Michael chose a different route, opting for humor and remarks that left many red-faced.

The wedding video post, showcasing Michael’s unconventional expressions of love, has since captured the attention of millions, accumulating over 19 million views and spurring tens of thousands of comments.

“I hope we have a lot of sex,” Michael quips in the video, following up with: “You're screwed… Keep my belly full and my b***s empty. While you’re amazing at half of it, we really need to get you some cooking lessons.”

Reactions were mixed, with many expressing disbelief and shock over Michael's choice of words.

"I can't believe he said that," one person penned in the comments section. The sentiments of walking away from the altar were shared widely, with comments like, "I would have ended it there," and "That's HUMILIATING," flooding the section.

"That's actually disgusting.. i would walk right out of that wedding if i was the bride," one person added, with another commenting: "That's just... wow. I'm sorry for her."

However, it is crucial to remember that every relationship is unique, and what might not work for some, may work for others.

Bride Destiny responded to the discussions by clarifying, “So [I'm] the bride an no this isn't a red flag... we have been together for 10 years now and decided to get married right before our 10th year.”

Now, in the full version, Michael does say some incredibly touching comments to his bride, such as: "With you and the girls by my side, I feel like I can conquer anything. You all my life worth living; giving every breath of every day a purpose."

(However, he then follows this by saying: "Life gets even better when the kids fall asleep and you tell me to come to the bedroom. Nothing's better than the sound of gagging and headboards slamming." A comment that even got a stern "Michael!" from his mother.)

In the fallout of the unconventional vows, it’s essential to remember the connection and mutual understanding between the couple, which may not align with everyone’s perceptions of marriage material.
