A woman has taken to social media to share the 12 rules she has put in place for her wedding day.
Bride-to-be Jasmine Cruz - who uses the handle @cruzjasmine824 on TikTok - got engaged to her future husband, Pablo Cadena, back in August 2020. After securing their venue in January, Jasmine started to put together a list of rules for her big day.
After seeing several other couples sharing their wedding rules on social media, Jasmine decided to do the same in two videos... and people had a lot to say.
Jasmine had 12 rules for her wedding - many of which I'm sure we can all agree with - such as making sure there are no drunk drivers and the quintessential wedding rule: nobody else is allowed to wear white.
This rule was apparently so important that Jasmine included it twice and even said her bridesmaids have been instructed to dump a bottle of red wine on anybody who dares to show up in white.
Take a look at Jasmine's first video below:Other rules I actively encourage, such as making sure guests take full advantage of the open bar.
However, some other rules caused quite a stir in the respective comments sections, such as rule number one: no kids.
"I don't want kids running around unattended, their parents not watching," Jasmine said in the first video. "That will absolutely not be happening."
Additionally, Jasmine banned any guests that weren't invited, specifying: "Don't be bringing no random people to my wedding, I gave you those plus ones for each head of your household that I want at my wedding."
And jumping to rule number 12: No big announcements. As Jasmine explains: "If you're pregnant, keep it to yourself. If you want to propose, keep it to yourself. Do not come to my wedding day taking the attention away from me and my mans."
All in all, this is the full list of all 12 rules:1. No kids (some exceptions)
2. Don't wear white
3. Bridesmaids can pick their outfit, just match color
4. No one else wears white
5. If you weren't invited you're not welcome
6. No garter
7. Bridesmaids are all [rainbow emoji]
8. My mom has creative say over everything day of
9. Take advantage of open bar
10. No drunk drivers
11. Vendors get treated as guests when they take breaks
12. No big announcements
Since being uploaded, the two videos have amassed a combined total of more than 2.2 million views and over 1,800 comments from fellow TikTokers.
First off, there were some people who thought the list was too much, and even hinted that it would actually put guests off attending:

Others clearly allowed the jokes to go right over their heads:

The "no kids" rule seemed to be the most divisive:

However, many of the rules had a lot of support from TikTok users. This user was a big fan of rule number six and banishing the whole garter tradition:

Many others agreed that the wedding sounds great and some people even copied Jasmine's list to use for themselves:

But I believe this comment is the most important to remember. When you're spending so much money on a day you want to remember for the rest of your life, it really shouldn't matter what anybody else's opinion is:

So, overall, it seemed like social media was a big fan of Jasmine's list of rules. But what do you think? Let us know in the comments section!
