People have urged a bride to divorce her husband immediately after their wedding after she was the victim of a "red flag" prank on their big day.

A wedding is a huge celebration of two families joining together by two people who (hopefully) love each other very much.

While the day itself is one full of food, drink, and general happiness, the build-up to it can be quite stressful given how much planning needs to go into it.

So after months of preparation, you would hope that nothing would go wrong on the big day... and the last thing you'd expect would be your husband to be the one ruining it.

One bride, however, appeared to become the butt of a prank by her new husband.

The incident, captured on video and shared on TikTok by the account @viralsnare, known for showcasing practical jokes, depicted the newlyweds in their wedding attire approaching a pool.

What seemed like a joke about taking the plunge into matrimony took a twist when, at the last moment, the groom abandoned the plan, leaving his bride alone to jump into the pool in her wedding dress.

While the bride appeared to maintain a smile as she swam solo, the wedding guests erupted in laughter at the unexpected turn of events.

Check out the prank below:

Despite the bride seeming to have taken the prank in good spirits, that didn't stop people from flooding the comments section with their thoughts.

"That’s not a prank; that’s an immediate annulment," remarked one person, while another stated: "Turning a cute moment into an embarrassing one for your spouse is a great way to start a marriage."

Some speculated on the bride's response, with one commenter suggesting: "Nah, she saw red flags, put up with it, ignored it, and hoped marriage would make things better. She ain’t leaving. She said, sign me up," while another bluntly advised: "Divorce him. Now."

One person did come up with a logical answer to the prank though, and said that the wedding dress might be owned by the bride while the groom's suit could be rented and therefore was unable to get damaged by the pool water.

While the prank may have looked pretty cruel to some, whether the bride and groom were okay after remains to be seen.

Regardless, they had a memorable wedding day, albeit a little bit of a wet one!
