There's one sex position that seems to trump them all - and it's just as effective for women as it is for men.
The debate over the best sex position is something that often sparks a heated debate, given that it's something pretty subjective.
Whether you're the type of person who swears by nothing but missionary, or someone who thinks swinging from the chandelier is tame, everybody is different when it comes to getting freaky between the sheets.
Well, it turns out there is one position that comes out on top (no pun intended) for both genders.
According to research by Superdrug Online Doctor, there's one sex position that helps both partners reach climax more often than any other - doggy style.
In the study, 47% of Brits said it was their favorite position, with 21% of men and 14% of women saying it's the one that gets them to orgasm the quickest due to the combined intensity and physical stimulation.
The angle is also known for being conducive to hitting the G-spot in women, which might explain why it helps with climax, as well as giving easy access for manual stimulation at the same time.
Among the men surveyed, many lauded the position due to the angles and depth making it more pleasurable for them, too.
Other positions which got an honorable mention in the survey was the woman on top, with 46% overall, and missionary came in at third with 45% saying it's their favorite position due to the intimacy of being face to face with your partner.
And while people had strong opinions on their favorite ways to get down, it seems most people aren't getting jiggy quite as often as they'd like.
According to the survey, only 22% of women and 26% of men said they were "always" satisfied with the amount of sex they were having - which is on average 105 sexual encounters a year, so approximately twice a week.
According to those surveyed, they'd prefer to get freaky around three times a week on average.
Only one in three Brits reported orgasming every time during sex with their partner, and it'll come as no surprise that men topped the list, being almost twice as likely to orgasm during sex a women.
Of course, all of this is completely subjective and there are no right or wrong answers. As long as your sex life works for you and your partner, that's all that matters - no matter how often or what position other people are doing between the sheets.
