A female professional golfer who was caught in the center of a prime example of mansplaining has spoken out about the awkward encounter.
As previously reported, the incident, which has since gone viral, involved Georgia Ball, a renowned golf coach and PGA professional, who goes by the handle @georgiagolfcoach on social media.
In a now widely circulated video, Georgia can be seen diligently practicing her swing at the driving range when the man approaches her with his critique.
Interrupting her practice, the man starts by saying "excuse me," before proceeding to comment on Georgia's technique. Despite Georgia's attempts to explain her deliberate adjustments, the man persists in offering his advice.
Watch the interaction below:In the video, he can be heard saying: "What you're doing there, you shouldn't be doing that... You're going too slow on the way up."
Despite defending herself, the man went on: "What you're doing there is coming back too slow. I've been playing golf for 20 years. What you need to do is follow through a lot quicker than you are doing right now."
Even after Georgia successfully executes a shot, the man shamelessly attempts to take credit for her improvement, much to Georgia's disbelief.
The professional golfer looked at the camera in complete disbelief and simply said "thanks for your advice," to end the interaction.
The interaction caused a fierce debate online, and Georgia has since sat down with This Morning to discuss the viral video.

"As a humble person, it’s just not in me to say ‘I’m a professional golfer, I know what I am doing'," she said.
Georgia continued: "I have a lot of conversations, I get a lot of advice and most of the time it's positive. So in that situation, it was awkward."
Despite the encounter, Georgia emphasized her inclusive approach to the sport, highlighting her desire to involve everyone and collaborate towards improvement.
"We just want to grow as much as we can," she explained.
While Georgia doesn't typically encounter mansplaining, she acknowledged the overwhelming online response to the video, describing it as "crazy" but expressing enjoyment in reading the comments.
It's evident that other female golfers have encountered similar interactions to Georgia, as people offered their experiences in the comments.
"It is my BIGGEST frustration when I’m at the driving range. Unfortunately, men always feel the need to comment on my swing or want to coach me. Guys take note: Please don’t," one person said.
A second added: "This video is the kind of one that circulates and gets reddit famous for the prime example of mansplaining. He doesn't take the hint or even listen. And takes credit for your next hit like he helped!!! Ugh. You handled it well, but we shouldn't have to handle this condescension."
