If you're anything like me, then you sit attentively and show the cabin crew that you are listening to every word of their safety demonstrations.
This is because we need them to know that we are the best people on the flight and they can count on us in the case of an emergency.
But have you ever wondered if a member of the flight team is into you?
If you have, then you might be able to tell in the future thanks to a cabin crew member lifting the lid on some secrets.
So, what’s the word you really want to hear at 35,000 feet?

No, it’s not “upgrade” — though that would be nice. It’s “Bob.”
Yep. According to a flight attendant speaking via eShores to Huffington Post, “Bob” isn’t just your uncle — it’s short for “Babe on Board.”
“If you hear them refer to someone as ‘Bob’, they are using the secret acronym ‘babe on board’,” the flight attendant dished.
Apparently, this playful little code gets tossed around when a particularly attractive passenger catches the crew’s attention.
And no, it’s not just a one-off whisper between colleagues — once the “Bob” is identified, the whole crew is in the loop.
“We always run back to the galley and let the rest of the crew know where the sexy passenger is sat,” the attendant revealed. “We will be extra nice to them and give them freebies.”

You might be flying economy, but you’ll feel like first class if you’re lucky enough to be labeled a Bob.
And it doesn’t stop at cheeky compliments or snack upgrades—some interactions even go beyond the cabin.
“Phone numbers have definitely been given out on napkins,” the flight attendant admitted.
And for those landing somewhere like Las Vegas, the good times might just keep rolling.
The source claimed that flight attendants don’t just end their shifts and vanish—they might be down to party.
“Numbers are always exchanged on a flight,” they said. “So be brave and ask a flight attendant out, because they may just say ‘yes’ and know the best spots to go!”

Now, before you go thinking this is all about love at 30,000 feet, the crew made it clear that it doesn’t have to be romantic.
They’re just as likely to strike up a platonic bond with someone cool and fun—someone they’d happily grab a drink with once the wheels are down.
So next time you’re boarding a flight, maybe dress a little sharper, flash a charming smile, and listen closely as the crew chats near the galley.
You never know—you just might be the next “Bob” on board.
