Heart-warming moment two-year-old best friends race towards each other for a hug

Being apart from a friend can be tough. No matter how many WhatsApp messages you send, phone calls you make, or FaceTime chats you have, nothing can beat spending time with your best friend in person.

However, imagine being two-years-old and unable to even recognize the buttons on a cell phone to even call your best friend?! Being apart from your partner in crime for a long time and be total anguish for youngsters - as these best friends prove.

Father Michael Cisneros shared the following video on Facebook, showing the moment two-year-old best friends Maxwell and Finnegan excitedly ran toward each other for an embracing hug. Honestly, it is the most heartwarming thing you'll see all year.

In the Facebook post, the father explained why the boys were so happy to see each other: "It’s Thursday. These two haven’t seen each other since Tuesday. So many feels, it’s beautiful. So thankful."

Speaking to ABC News, Micheal explained how the duo have been "inseparable" after meeting a year ago: "When they are away from each other, they are always asking about one another."

The doting dad added that the besties share hobbies, both attending a weekly music event where they "love to dance" and that "both are excellent dancers".

Since being shared on the social media site on Sunday, it has been seen more than 29,000 times, shared over 1,000 times, and earned hundreds of heartfelt comments from people delighted to see the happiness the two boys share together.

Michael captioned the adorable post: "I have no idea how to make things go viral, for those that do......please share. This is just so beautiful. Finnegan + Maxwell= BESTIES!!! If we could all be like this."

(She has a point - every time I greet my best friend we usually just punch each other in the arm and don't say anything for two-to-three hours.)
