A short clip shared online in February 2023 reveals an unnamed fitness influencer filming in the middle of a park in the UK. She was seemingly excited and ready to tell her followers about her health journey before a complete stranger came and sat down on the bench right behind her.
Clearly startled by the random guest appearance, she told her viewers to wait "just a second" while she tried to take control of the problem. She turned around and said to the man: "Excuse me. I'm just filming, are you alright to go to another park bench?"
The man's short and sweet response was simply: "And?"
Watch the moment below:She began to request he move yet again but he fired back by asking her to move the camera instead.
"You're going to be online now for everyone to see you," the influencer explained, but he seemed totally unbothered by the revelation, replying: "I don't care at all."
"Look, if you don't like the answer, don't ask the question," he added.
The two carried on some more - neither clearly backing down from the argument - with the fitness influencer doubled down on her view, and stating: "My followers, I know, will not want to see you."
The man then hilariously hits back with: "Your followers? Oh, so are you Jesus now?"
The laughable encounter was posted to the platform X (formerly Twitter) where it amassed 52 million viewers and was flooded with comments from thousands of people who disputed over who was in the wrong in the situation.
"She’s upset because she wasn’t 'asking', she was 'expecting.' Asking may result in a yes or no. He politely said no and she wouldn’t accept that. Cheers to the man for teaching her a lesson," one user commented.
Another person chimed in: "Hilarious... Way too much talking girl! Lol. Just move your camera," while a third said: "Jesus Christ, is it a personality trait of 'influencers' to be self-centered narcissists?"
Meanwhile, some people were on the influencer's side, with one user remarking: "I’m honestly surprised to see most people on the man’s side. Like yeah she doesn’t have the right to ask him to move, but he could have just moved because she asked nicely. Like he clearly wanted to start something and she was just trying to ask if he could help her."
A second shared a similar sentiment, adding: "Normally I'd back the general public over intrusive and irritating social influencers, but this time I'm with the young lady. Found a quiet out-of-the-way spot and old mate could've [walked] to the next park bench but no...."
Meanwhile, one person thought both were "in the wrong," explaining: "Dude is being a d*** for no reason. Lady is forgetting she’s recording videos in a public space. Both could be nicer and compromising. Bad vibes for everyone involved."
Let's hope the pair managed to work out their differences...
