A man has revealed that his friend was so set on being compensated for a few French fries that he had him transfer 47 cents over to him.
A TikToker named Peter - or @peterpribylpierdinock on the app - shared the bizarre request with his 93.4K followers
He captioned the video: "Friends of friends get wayyy too bold with venmo charges. [sic]"
Check out the video below:In the short post, Peter shares a screenshot of a message exchange between himself and his friend Alex - all over a handful of fries he took from his pal's plate.
Alex wrote: "Hey!! I’m dividing up the dinner bill right now. You had some of my fries right??? Lol."
To which Peter responded: "Haha I think I had a couple, why[?]"
Alex answered: "Ok cool no worries lmao I’ll just [add] like 47 cents to your Venmo charge? If that’s cool."
In the message that followed, Alex proceeded to break down the amount that Peter owed him, writing: "So $23.83 total!!! Ur meal + tip + part of my meal that you ate. [sic]"
What's more, in the comments, Peter explained that he had eaten just three fries, and only after Alex offered them to him.

The TikTok video has since gone viral with 7 million views, over 862,000 likes, and nearly 11,000 comments at the time of writing,
A number of the TikTok star's followers agreed that the request was over the top, with one commenter suggesting: "Charge Alex 3 cents for using your data for that message."

Another took to the comments, writing: "47 cents is not a bad price to find out what a bad friend Alex is!"

While another added: "Venmo be ruining friendships before they even start."

A different TikTok user shared: "I would simply pass away if I received that message. How EMBARRASSING on their behalf."

Meanwhile, a final person wrote: "'If you're cool with that' ... and what if I'm not. Are you going to track me down for that 47 cents? Huh."
