P*rnhub has revealed the most bizarre habits of 2024 and well... they're as bizarre as you'd expect.

Most people don't openly declare what sort of adult entertainment they are consuming in their spare time.

Luckily for those of us who like to pry into other people's business, P*rnhub has analysed the data for us.

2024 saw a rise in what P*rnhub dubs "demure desires" and "animated arousal".

Searches for terms like "mindful pleasure" (up 122%) and "ethical porn" (up 92%) reflect a growing audience preference for authenticity and simplicity.

Experts suggest these searches highlight a societal gravitation toward more "real" and relatable experiences.

Supporting this notion, searches for "authentic sex" (up 43%) and "respectful sex" (up 61%) also gained significant traction throughout the year.

While ranked fourth in overall trends, the anime craze continues its years-long reign. "Hentai" once again secured the title of P*rnhub's most-searched term globally, marking four consecutive years at the top.

Related categories like "animation" (up 28%) and "3D" (up 19%) also saw remarkable growth.

The overlap between anime fandom and gaming culture was evident, with popular video game characters such as Chun Li and Lara Croft remaining fan favorites.

One of the year’s more intriguing trends involved a spike in searches for “tradwives,” which rose by 72% globally.

Short for "traditional wives," the term refers to women embracing homemaking and a submissive role in their relationships.

The trend, popularized on TikTok, centers on domestic tasks like cooking, cleaning, and child-rearing.

Other top searches included "sex olympics" and "athlete" as people got carried away with the Olympic games.

Another was co-worker crushes... which probably says a lot about how people feel about who they work with.

But wait, the analysis of people's watching habits doesn't end there!

For the first time, “hentai” also claimed the top spot in the United States and continued its dominance in countries like Brazil and Ukraine.

The genre outpaced other long-standing favorites such as “MILF,” “lesbian,” and “an*l”.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, the explicit and unconventional term “hawk tuah” saw a significant increase in searches.

The phrase gained notoriety after Haliey Welch used it during a viral street interview earlier this year.

Welch’s use of the phrase sparked a cultural phenomenon, catapulting her into online stardom.

Australian performer Angela White once again claimed the title of the most-searched adult star worldwide, with Abella Danger and Violet Myers following closely behind.

The report also highlighted a surge in popularity for gay performers among female viewers. Notably, searches for Dom King by women were 468% higher than those by men, with Alex Mecum and Diego Sans experiencing similar patterns.
