A 31-year-old sex surrogate has built a career centered on helping individuals overcome their barriers to intimacy.
For the past three years, Saurora Grace has worked with hundreds of clients, many of whom face unique challenges in their sexual lives. Grace's work involves providing sessions that range from therapeutic touch to intimate experiences, helping those who are struggling with emotional or physical barriers to intimacy.
Her clients often include people with disabilities, as well as those who have faced traumatic injuries or have spent years in sexless relationships.
Her approach is rooted in understanding the complex relationship between human connection, body, and intimacy. Grace shared that her journey into this profession was deeply personal, motivated by the death of her mother from alcoholism in 2022.
"Her heartbreaking death pushed me to want to help people. Losing my mum fundamentally reshaped the way I understood life, the body, and human connection," she explained to The Sun. This loss pushed her towards work that helps people reconnect with intimacy and self-worth before it’s too late.
In a typical session, Saurora begins with a calming massage before moving into deeper intimate acts if the client feels comfortable. The process is personalized depending on the needs of the client. “It might sound strange, but I got into this line of work after my beloved mum lost her long battle with alcoholism in 2022," she shared.
For some, a session might involve gradual steps leading up to intercourse, though not all clients are ready for that, and some prefer shorter interactions focused on emotional connection rather than physical acts. Grace makes it clear that her goal is to create a safe and non-judgmental environment where people can explore their sexuality at their own pace.
While Grace's work has earned her praise from those she helps, it has also drawn criticism. Many of her clients are referred to her by their parents, especially those with disabilities, who want their children to experience intimacy in a healthy, respectful manner.
Saurora is proud of the positive impact her work has on these individuals, stating that over 90 percent of disabled people are sexually active, yet many are still viewed as asexual by society.
Despite this, her career has come with challenges, including a relationship that ended because of the nature of her job. Nonetheless, she believes that if more people understood the profound effect her work has on her clients, they would likely reconsider their judgments.
