Dating is a complicated part of life that many of us can both love and hate in equal amounts.
On one hand, you can find the true love of your life and go on to have your happily ever after, on the other hand you can end up spending a night, week, or years of your life that turns out to be a complete waste of time.
But now, a single radio presenter from Sydney, Australia, has revealed one piece of advice that could help your love life: don't date men in their 30s.

Jana Hocking says she never considers dating men under the age of 45 - despite being 35 herself.
Writing for news.com.au, Jana said: "There is an age bracket that shouldn’t be ventured into by any woman who wants to make future plans with a man.
"Steer clear of anyone within the 30 to 40-year-old bracket."

And despite sound ludicrous, there is a decent reason behind it. You see, according to Jana, many men in this age-bracket are off the market - which has led to her giving them the label of "crickets" on dating sites.
Jana then provided "proof" for her romantic advice, stating that the average age for marriage for men in Australia is 32.4.
Per The Balance, the average age men get married in the US is 29.8.

So, what ages should you be looking for on dating sites? Well, don't worry if you're concerned about dating young guys in their 20s, because Jana actually recommends adjusting your settings to seek out divorcees.
In Australia, male divorcees on average are 45.9 years old.

Jana added: "As someone who’s been doing that recently I can highly recommend it. They’re great at 'old school dating', you know, like picking up the phone for a chat, only dating one person at a time, and they tend to be terrible at playing games (hurrah!)
"Sure they may come with some baggage, like the bitter remnants of a divorce and a few kids, but it also means that they’ve proven that they aren’t scared to commit (at least for a decent amount of time)."

And if you think that you'll be reducing your chance of a date by only seeking divorcees, per WF Lawyers, almost 50 percent of all marriages in the United States will end in divorce or separation.
And - like Clooney, Reeves, Rudd, and others - Jana points out that many men look even better once they've passed 40.
