A woman was left horrified after finding a mysterious image on her infant's baby monitor while no one was home.
TikToker Ashley Meredith - who goes by the handle @ashleymeredith1529 - was out for dinner with her whole family when she received a notification on her phone from her baby monitor.
The device is set up to detect noise and motion inside her son's crib and sends alerts recording footage of any movement directly to her phone.
Ashley was notified that there was movement in the room despite the house being empty - and was terrified when she looked at the image captured, which clearly displayed a young child's face.
Watch Ashley's TikTok below:Ashley immediately checked her phone and found what appears to be a blurry photo of a little girl with blackened eyes looking directly at the camera lens. She then went back and forth with other pictures of her baby to make sure that it wasn't just a looped image from earlier.
"I have no words because I have no idea what this is, and I have showed it to several people and they don't know what it is either," she said. "And this is the only video I cannot play back. I am a little freaked out."
The mom revealed that the family only recently moved into their house five months ago and experienced no other paranormal activity. She also clarified that there are no dolls in her home or near her son's crib.
"This has been playing on my mind because I don't understand it," she said, pleading for explanations and asking if viewers thought it was "a glitch or something else".
The TikTok - which has now been viewed 4.3 million times and has 391.4K likes - has comments from people suggesting that she "move house" due to the unexplainable paranormal activity.
One user wrote: "The way I would instantly move houses"
Another said: "I would move out that day."
A third user exclaimed: "Nah nah bro MOVE OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
A fourth person simply stated: "That is a perfectly valid reason to leave it all and move."
Some people even suggested that time image could be that of a spirit of a child who had passed away in the local area. Meanwhile, others agreed that it must be a glitch and shared more practical - but no less disturbing - answers for the bizarre picture, with one person proposing: "The app might have got hacked."
And, a second user added: "It's a wifi camera so I reckon you've got a notification from someone else's camera and that's why it's not included the video."
The inquisitive mom made a series of follow-up videos wherein she tried to make sense of the anomalous incident. She employed artificial intelligence to "enhance" the blurry photo and an "AI" filter to see if there were spirits caught on camera.
Both revealed a photo of a young girl staring at the camera or in the baby crib which continues the mystery.
One person replied to the follow up suggesting: "You just caught a guardian angel of one of your babies. That’s all it is sometimes they can look scary to us."
Yeah... no. I'd be moving out of that house immediately.
