A mom was left seriously freaked out after her daughter claimed that she could see a person hiding in her closet.
Lots of children are afraid of what creeps in their closet at night, but what happens when they are fearful of an unknown figure lurking in their closet during the daytime?
One mother on TikTok - who goes by the handle @sinatrainmylap - shared a video explaining that her two-year-old woke up from an afternoon nap in terror, insisting that there was a person in her closet who kept smiling at her.
The little tot can be seen guiding her mom to her room and telling her to "open" the closet door. She then points to the corner where a box of diapers is sitting and says "That's a person".
Watch the TikTok below:The doting mom can be heard asking where this "person" is and the toddler responds by repeatedly saying "right there.." while pointing at the same exact spot.
The mom then questions if Elsa - the Frozen character displayed on the diaper box - has been grinning at her but the girl makes it clear that she is talking about an actual "grown" person.
"That is my closet!", the little girl exclaims before running into her mom's arms and reiterating: "I'm scared... that's a person."
After watching the eerie video, many commenters shared that their children also saw the same haunting figure in the closet. One user wrote: "I paused the video when you showed the inside of her closet and my 4yr old said she saw a person in the same spot!"
Another said: "I showed my two y/o and he said it's 'daddy' my husband is 6' dark hair and eyes," and a third commented: "My 4-year-old is saying she can see someone."
A fourth user chimed in to share their own observation, penning: "When you first opened it, I saw a face in the diaper from afar kind of looks like Elsa is the mouth open, making eyes above it
One follower asked the mom if the cause of the toddler’s discomfort was the diaper on the box, and she replied that even after removing it, her daughter still said that there was something there.
After countless comments from users, the mom posted a follow-up video explaining that her daughter's fears seemed to have settled down after she shut the closet door.
"She seems to be okay now but she does stare at the door when we go into her room but she hasn't said anything since then," she shared.
However, the attentive parent added that her child confirmed that the unknown figure is a woman, but she hasn't asked any specific questions because she "doesn't want to start reminding her and getting her scared of her room".
