A woman has taken to social media to shine a light on what dating in 2022 can be like in a world of unrealistic beauty standards.
Yes, prepare yourself for a tale of narcissism and toxicity that'll have you wishing she had just swiped left and saved herself the bother.
Earlier this week, a woman by the name of Kailee Ross took to TikTok to share an eye-opening video following a disastrous first date. Posting under the handle @KailzBailz, she starts her video by saying: "I think the world needs a little bit more representation of what dating in 2022 is shaping up to look like."
Check out Kailee's now-viral video below:Kailee explains that the date actually started well, saying that she was "excited" for the evening ahead and the guy agreed, saying that he saw "potential" for a relationship.
After arriving at the restaurant, the pair were informed that they would have to wait 15 minutes for their table, so they decided to chat.
"I thought conversation was going great - we were talking for about five minutes," she said. "And he looked over at me and he's like, 'Hey, I'm gonna be honest, not really feeling a connection.'"
Despite the disappointing comment, the two agreed to sit down and enjoy their meal anyway. However, after Kailee removed her coat, her date said: "Oh... yeah... I thought so."
After asking what he was talking about, her date said: "Well, you know, like, fitness and being healthy is really a big part of my life." Then, when Kailee questions him on what he means by this comment, he told her: "Well, you're too fat for me."
"Exact words: You're. Too. Fat. For. Me," she repeats. "What?? come on!"
Her video - which was accompanied with the hashtags "#toofat #dating2022 #f**kyourbeautystandards" - has since amassed over 980,000 views and more than 5,000 comments, with many TikTok users flooding Kailee with praise and support.
One TikToker wrote: "He could have been so much nicer and just left it at ‘no connection’. People have a right to personal preferences, but not to be rude to others."
Another comment read: "He’s too inadequate for YOU. You are gorgeous and (obviously) don’t need that in your life."
"You look great and healthy - 100% his loss and life will be hard for him if he thinks that way," wrote a third.
And a fourth added: "Oh my gosh. You are beautiful. I can tell you have a genuine soul. This is the reality of dating. It’s insane to me."
In a follow-up video, Kailee reveals that she did walk out of the restaurant following the comment and that she doesn't regret it.
What an absolute jerk. Kailee, you're beautiful and you've dodged one heck of a bullet in this guy.
