World's 'most identical' twins who share a fiancé are trying to get pregnant at the same time
Self-proclaimed "world's most identical twins", Anna and Lucy DeCinque have taken being joined at the hip to a new level, from sharing all 46 chromosomes to splitting the attention of their shared fiancé Ben Byrne, the two Australian sisters are now attempting to get pregnant concurrently.
The 35-year-olds have starred on TLC’s Extreme Sisters, with the inseparable siblings recording their fertility journeys while on the show. The pair have undergone the same cosmetic procedures, dress alike, and even measure their food so they consume the same portions. “We just feel like we’re one person,” they explained.
Double trouble: Twins try for joint pregnancy
Having recently decided to try for babies, their motherhood goals are yet to be achieved, with the pair experiencing difficulties in falling pregnant.
In preparation for parental responsibilities, Anna and Lucy have been channeling their maternal instincts via the deployment of baby dolls, taking them out in public, and even dressing them identically, such is their kinship.
Revealing how their respective jaunts into pregnancy are yet to bear fruit on the latest instalment of the show, the pair said: "We've had some trouble trying to get pregnant, so this [using dolls] is the next best thing.”
The twins had initially made clear their desire to get pregnant at the same time back in 2021, stating: "We've never taken a pregnancy test before. It really is magical how a stick can confirm you are pregnant."
Sharing is caring
Talking about their relationship with Ben, they said that sharing a boyfriend allows them to always stay together, since dating separately led to partners who wanted to keep them apart. They first met Ben—who is also a twin—on Facebook.
He became the first man they both dated after he responded respectfully when they suggested the unconventional arrangement, they told Business Insider.
The two women have been engulfed in a relationship with Ben since 2012, although due to laws prohibiting polyamorous marriages in their native Australia, the throuple have been unable to unite in wedlock.
The sisters describe their relationship as free of jealousy, explaining that if Ben kisses one, he immediately kisses the other. Their openness has earned them more than 134,000 Instagram followers, although not everyone approves. “People just need to accept it,” they told Insider. “We’re not hurting anyone. Love is love, that’s always been our message.”
To mark their 35th birthday, the twins posted photos of themselves in matching red dresses, writing captions like “Birthday celebrations with our man” and “Together we rock.”
While they wait to fall pregnant, Ben certainly has his work cut out to sow his paternal seed in a timely and synchronised fashion.
