A conversation has been sparked after a stunned server revealed a group of people asked to split their check 21 ways.
A woman named Dana - who goes by the handle @danasigns - works at Dave & Buster and explained that a large table of 21 sat down for dinner recently.
In the 12-second video, the overlay text reads, "When a 21 top comes in and they all want separate checks," and it shows her cash register’s screen as she taps individual items onto each check using the touch screen feature.
After tapping the individual items, Dana showed the several receipts pouring out of the printer which as previously mentioned, came up to 21.
Watch Dana's TikTok below:The TikToker also had the signed receipt folded in her hand which would have most certainly been a time-consuming request for the server.
Despite it all, Dana clarified in the caption: "No hate to these people AT ALL! THEY WERE SO NICE."
It’s fair to say that her clip attracted a lot of attention and even sparked a debate on the social media platform. Some users informed Dana that it is her job to give separate checks to customers.
One user penned: "Imagine believing that giving receipt to each customer isn't your job."
Another person interjected: "21 separate tickets is not that hard to handle."
A third user remarked: "Well girl, maybe it’s time for a wake-up call. It’s your job, you don’t like it? Then call your HR and see what happens."
Other people flooded the comment section with their similar experiences, as one person wrote: "I have no problem with this, I have had larger tables get separate checks. I just take multiple machines to the tables for payment."
A second user sympathized: "A few months ago I had a 47 top retirement party that was just drinking that all were separate. I feel ur pain girl."
A third person shared: "I remember these days. So not fun, I hope they paid with cards and tipped well."
And a fourth person said: "I know those receipts… I work at one of the locations in California. I do the same thing. It gives me anxiety having that many on my screen."
A few users questioned Dana on why she didn’t ask whether the table was splitting the bill at the beginning, so she explained: "Guys yes I did ask them at the beginning how many checks they had."
"I like to put it all on one and then split it so everyone's food comes out together," she added.
