Many of us may be struggling to bring our grandparents into the 21st century and integrate with modern technology - but these sisters have successfully managed it in a very unfortunate way.

While recording themselves for a playful TikTok video, 20-year-old college student Teera Somsak and her sister Tarie quickly realized that their deceased grandmother was helping out by steadying the camera.

Yes, the siblings were accidentally using their grandma's urn as a phone stand.

Check out the awkward moment in the video below:

Teera captioned the awkward video: "She told me that I was using my grandma as a tiktok stand. I literally thought it was a teacup BSKZBSKS."

Yes, if there was ever an face that screamed: "Oh my god, we've been using grandma as a phone stand" - that's it.

The blunder quickly went viral since being posted back in June, and has since been viewed over 17.3 million times, with many of the comments poking fun at the situation.

"Grandma carried this TikTok - literally," wrote one viewer, while another joked: "Yesss grandma deserves an oscar for best cameraman!!"

Speaking to Buzzfeed News about the slip-up, Teera said: "We had just moved to a new house so everything was out of place, and I am usually never in my mom’s room so I don’t know the ins and outs."

After trying and failing to use a lamp as a stand, Teera added: "I switched to facing towards the closet. I saw this tiny teacup looking thing so I quickly grabbed it because there was nothing that seemed sturdy enough to be able to prop up my phone."

(Yes. They thought nan was a teacup.)

For another awkward TikTok moment, check out the "smashing" finale to this dance:

Just as the siblings were ready to perform their dance, Tarie said: "OMG, that is our grandma".

"I was so shocked and slightly laughing on the inside because in my head I was like, OMG, why did I not know it was her?'" Teera said. "Like, I had never seen this small tiny teacup-looking thing, so I was so, so confused."

However, the sisters saw the funny side in it, and actually found it quite sweet that their grandmother helped them go viral.

Teera said: "It had been my birthday a few days before so I literally kept thinking it was a birthday gift from my grandma to go viral. Or somehow she was communicating with me through all of this."

Either way, I'm sure their grandmother would just be happy seeing her granddaughters bonding and having fun.
