Masters student Amairis Rose, 25, visited the world's largest waterfall while holidaying in Zambia. Aptly named the Devils' Pool on the edge of the Victoria Falls, it's a sight that most are happy to admire from a distance.

But instead of keeping a safe distance, Rose decided to climb into the waterfall and pose at its edge, letting water flow past at a staggering 110 million gallons per minute, as per Safari Bookings.

Rose went on to post the snaps of herself to her 35K followers on Instagram, aptly captioning them: "Life on the edge, it's beautiful here."

However, unsurprisingly, the apparent danger of the situation she was in was all that people could react to in the comments section.

One Instagram user wrote: "Ohhhh my f**king anxiety."

A second added: "Oh No thanks ma'am [sic]."

A third wrote: "My body is shaking just from watching this! Value your life sister."

A fourth similarly advised Rose to be more careful in the future, writing: "Babe don't ever do that again it's definitely beautiful but not cool [sic]."

However, despite the perilous nature of the snap, it turns out that Rose is far from the first person to enter the Devil's Pool, and Safari Bookings revealed on their website, that while there have been minor accidents in the area, there has never been a fatality.

But the website did note that the Devil's Pool's namesake in Australia has claimed a number of lives.

Needless to say, Rose is far from the first person to put herself in danger for the sake of social media likes, and last year, this influencer couple posted an equally perilous photograph.

In it, influencer Kelly Castille can be seen holding onto Kody Workman's hands as she dangles from the edge of a cliff, using just her foot for support.

As you can imagine, things could have gone very wrong with the smallest error, which is why behavior like this is never advised.
