A surfer has revealed how she has adapted to life as a new mom following a shark attack that left her with one arm.
When Bethany Hamilton was 13 years old, the surfing prodigy was attacked by a 15-foot tiger shark that resulted in her losing her left arm.
Despite the potentially life-changing incident, Hamilton did not let her disability or any potential fear of the ocean stop her from chasing her dream of competitive surfing.
Hamilton's spirit and determination eventually led to her having a 2019 documentary movie made about her life - Unstoppable - in which she says: "[God] doesn’t say that life’s going to be easy peasy and perfect [...] to think that we are not going to have trouble sets ourselves up for mental struggles and the fact is we are all going to face hard times.
"When I lost my arm I was just thankful to be alive and that propelled me to have a more positive mindset."
There's no doubt Hamilton's surfing journey is inspirational, but now the mother-of-three has given yet another glimpse into her life as a super-mom.
Hamilton has three sons - Tobias, born in June 2015, Wesley, born in March 2018, and Micah, born in February 2021 - and the mom has recently took to Instagram to reveal what her version of motherhood looks like.
Sharing a picture of herself holding son Michah, the ever-inspirational Bethany writes: "A little bit about Mom life with one arm.
"Well I’m raising our third son, so the tricks and adaptations are getting better with each child.
"When they are this young and have the wobbly head and need constant attention, nursing, diaper changes, tummy soothing, lots of sleep and of course smiles, kisses and more."

Hamilton then reveals: "I use my feet to help with diaper changing, lots of pillows with nursing, a baby carrier all throughout the day and tricky styles of holding to keep baby’s head up.
"Sometimes it can get frustrating but I just gotta keep moving forward, have lil breaks and keep it positive! Plus I remember I’ve done it before. And as a family we make it work! Loving our lil Micah and looking forward to more life with him!"
Speaking about motherhood in the Unstoppable documentary, Hamilton says: "It’s mentally taxing every single day, just being a steady mom or wife or friend and just dealing with family and all that. Probably the harder thing in life is maintaining healthy relationships. I’m really thankful for my husband and my boys and my family."
And despite their mother's passion for surfing, she also admitted that she can sometimes struggle to get her boys in the water: "You can’t just expect every kid to fall in love with the ocean at five years old and have no fear."
