TikToker Steph Bohrer took to social media to reveal that she'd been sitting in a airport recently when a pilot walked past and slipped her a note.
She told her 1 million followers: "I'm sitting at the airport and a pilot just placed this on my table & walked away."
The clip showed a brown paper napkin with the words: "I have seen the whole world and you are the most beautiful woman in it."
Steph added in the caption: "i didn’t even see his face."
The note was signed off with an illegible signature and no contact details for the 23-year-old to get in touch with her secret admirer.
And while the bold move might seem like the start of a great romance worthy of a romcom itself, the sweet note unfortunately didn't impress Steph's followers who were all left saying the same thing.
They flooded her comments to write: "I just know this guy does this all the time," and: "as a former F/A [flight attendant], you're probably not the first to receive the same napkin that week."
Others added: "He’s probably married with 5 kids," and: "Coming from a flight attendant and ex-pilot wife… he’s married and he uses that line everyday. You’re beautiful though."
Another follower wrote: "I feel like he just carries a STACK of these in his pocket," while someone else commented: "he didn't leave a number because he's someone's husband."
One fan added: "sorry to break it to you but pilots say this to every flight attendant and passenger. He most likely has wife and kids at home tbh."

Despite the detractors, others were loving the sweet compliment, writing: "This would be framed on my wall for the rest of my life."
Others added: "Damn the comments lol. Let a girl receive a no strings attached compliment in peace," and: "An anonymous compliment with no agenda is the best. He didn’t stick around, no phone number. Outwardly it’s sweet."
One also wrote: "Everyone saying he‘s a [red flag] because he didn‘t leave his number because he‘s probably married. I‘d say that‘s a [green flag]. He just wanted to give out a compliment, that‘s nice and he respected his boundaries."
According to a recent survey, finding love at the airport isn't all that unusual - even if Steph's encounter didn't end up going any further.
A 2018 HSBC study surveying 2,150 people from 141 countries found that one in 50 people said they'd found "the one" while on an airplane.
