A woman has been filmed dangling off a highrise balcony, reportedly for the sake of a photoshoot in Queensland's Sunshine Coast.
As reported by the Daily Mail, the heart-racing stunt took place on the eleventh floor of Mooloolaba's Seaview Resort.
The footage shows the woman climbing over the balcony so that she is on the other side of it, then kneeling on the ledge as her companion takes photos of her in the dangerous pose.
When the photoshoot comes to an end, the woman can be seen struggling to pull herself up and over the ledge to safety - but fortunately, she eventually does.
An individual named James caught the four-minute-long antics earlier this week from his own hotel balcony across the road.
"I just thought one slip and she's gone," he told 9News. "Next photo might have been her on the ground."
Social Media expert Meg Coffey said, per the news outlet that there are many young people who go above and beyond to post "instagramable" photos to their online accounts - with some even risking their lives for the perfect shot.
"We as humans seem to be validated by how many likes we get so we will do whatever it takes," she said. "It's bewildering as they're willing to put themselves in grave danger."
Queensland Police has condemned the pair's irresponsible antics and said they could potentially end up in court.
Craig Hawkins from Queensland Police "couldn't believe" what he had seen in the video.
"These people are putting their lives at risk for a trivial photo," he said. "It is foolish behaviour, and falling from a building that high never ends well."
"I cannot impress how foolish this behavior is," Hawkins said.
"I would also like to see behavior of this kind see the individuals end up in court explaining themselves to a magistrate," he added. "These are people that can and should be put before a magistrate."
Last year, one Arkansas couple took things to a whole new level of extreme, after posing for a series of dramatic and heart-stopping wedding photos on the edge of a cliff.
