A woman has taken extreme measures to get payback on package thieves in her local area by filling a seemingly ordinary Amazon parcel with poop.
Laurie Pringle, from Hamilton, Ontario, decided to get payback on pesky package thieves after falling victim to countless thefts over the last three years.
Speaking to Narcity, Pringle said that she lives on a "very busy downtown street," and that her "front door pretty much opens out onto the sidewalk".
As a result of the busy location, many of her packages have been stolen.
Pringle revealed that despite leaving instructions for all of her Amazon delivery drivers to ring the family's video doorbell, a number of couriers have ignored the request, resulting in her packages being "stolen fairly often".

To combat the thefts (or, at least, get some petty revenge), Pringle opted to fill an empty Amazon package with the contents of her cat's litter tray - poop and all - and leave the not-so-special delivery on her own front porch.
And, lo and behold, it wasn't long before the package was stolen by a thief. In fact, Pringle says it took just 40 minutes for the poop to be swiped.
Pringle was even fortunate enough to capture the theft on video, and later shared the footage on a neighborhood app, where somebody said that the same guy had stolen their package as well.

And the cunning plot gained further praise on social media after Pringle shared pictures of the stunt to Reddit, along with the title: "Porch pirate poop box taken within 40 mins."
As well as receiving over 1.1K upvotes, the post also attracted a lot of comments from some seriously impressed Redditors.
One person replied to the post, writing: "It brings me a lot of pleasure thinking about that person getting excited about the heavy box and ripping it open only to find a giant amount of cat feces. It's satisfying."
Another person pondered: "Wonder if you can rig it up to eject the contents when opened..."
And a third added: "If every household would do this 2-3 times a week those asshats might find a new hobby."
Let's hope any porch pirates reading this see the error of their ways!
