A woman was left devastated after spending weeks planning her first "Friendsgiving" dinner for a group of her buddies, with no one turning up to the event.
The woman's boyfriend Christian Zamora, who goes by the handle @Kidalloy on TikTok, shared footage of the aftermath of the Friendsgiving let-down in a video that has gone viral since it was uploaded on November 20.
In the clip, the doting partner explains that his girlfriend, Maryann, spent hours preparing for what she thought was going to be a fun-filled feast.
Check out the video below:The young woman had spent two weeks planning for the occasion by re-decorating her whole basement, and cooking a massive dinner for her entire friendship group - only for her to be stood up.
According to Christian, in fact, her pals couldn't so much as send her a message to let her know that they were no longer able to make the dinner.
"My girlfriend was so excited for her first Friendsgiving but no one showed up," he wrote in the caption to the short video, which has since racked up more than 15 million views. "She decorated the whole basement and cooked so much food. I keep trying to cheer her up but nothing is working."
In another TikTok post, Christian revealed that on the day the event was planned, Maryann's friends suddenly stopped responding to her messages
"My girl and her friends decided to throw a Friendsgiving like two weeks in advance, they were planning this for two weeks," he explained.
The loving boyfriend added: "They were planning everything, everything was all set - the date, the time, and everything. They were all gonna come.
"But the day came and no one was answering the group chat. No one was texting or calling, but in her mind, she thought everyone was running late. When it hit the three hour mark, she was like, 'Yeah no one's gonna come.'"
Wanting to put an end to her disappointment, Christian decided to give a helping hand by inviting some of his own buddies.
He explained: "She called me and told me what happened so I started heading over to her house. On the way there, I called my friends. I told my friends, 'Hey, are you [open to] coming to my girls Thanksgiving?'"
Christian continued: "They were more than gracious enough to come. They all came and brought stuff. It's like she had her own Friendsgiving, there was a happy ending to it.
"She wasn't upset, she wasn't mad, she was kind of disappointed about her actual friends not showing up but other than that, she still had great company and she still had a great time."
