A woman has taken to social media to reveal how she was "almost murdered", and how one fake phone call stopped her from having her "organs harvested".

Sharing her outrageous story to TikTok, Nicole Gable revealed in a series of videos how she managed to save her own life during a horrific experience in the middle-eastern country of Oman.

In her first video, captioned "that time my organs were almost harvested", Gable revealed that she was visiting Oman a few years ago with her husband, and the couple decided to book an excursion to watch the sunrise in the desert.

She says: "We were out in the middle of a desert staying at a motel, there’s no Wifi, cell service, taxis - nothing like that. We're the only people staying in the motel beside the owner."

Their plan was to wake up at 3:00am, meet the excursion driver and the other guests, be driven into the desert for a picnic, and watch the sunrise.

However, as Gable explains: "We get to the van and there’s no one else. It’s just me, my husband, the driver, and his 'assistant'."

Then, during their dark drive into the desert, Gable says she noticed a shovel and a cooler in the trunk. When she asked the driver what the shovel was for, he ominously replied: "We’re going to be out there for a while."

Then she asked about the cooler, and he replied: "Oh, there’s a bunch of drinks and snacks in there for the picnic."

But after she reached around the look inside, Gable says the cooler was completely empty - except for ice!

Gable revealed that, by this point, she and her husband had started to panic, and were texting back and forth to try and quickly put together an escape plan.

After her husband told her that he would attack them so that she could get away, Gable then came up with a "last-ditch" plan that would allow them to both survive.

She remembered that when they arrived at the motel, she had told the motel owners aware that she suffers from Crohn's disease (a long-term form of inflammatory bowel disease).

Thinking quick, Gable told her driver that she had thrown up blood earlier that morning - meaning that her DNA would be in the hotel room. Then she told the driver that she needed to throw up again and asked if they could pull over at the nearest convenience store.

After initially refusing to do so, saying they would miss the sunrise, the driver eventually pulled over at a convenience store.

However, Gable noted that for "some reason", the driver and assistant followed her and her husband into the store.

Then, in a moment of genius that she believes saved her life, Gable reveals that she connected to the store's Wifi and pretended to call her sister in the US.

During the "phone call", she told her sister her exact location and who she was with. Gable then promised her sister that she would call back in an hour to confirm that everybody was safe and well.

Gable says that after insisting that the driver take them back to the motel, they got into an argument in the store, but eventually, they gave in and took them back. And although they slept with all the furniture blocking the door to their room, they managed to survive their stay.

Now, although the chances of something like this happening to you is miniscule, remembering Gable's story could one day (knock-on-wood) save your life.
