A woman has taken to social media to reveal the five things customers say that annoy retail workers.
Charlie, who goes by the handle '@charlie.smth' on TikTok, shared the first video with her 150,000+ followers back in August, along with the caption: "5 things that customers say that always get on retail worker's nerves".
And as somebody who spent many years working in a supermarket, I can assure you that each of these is so accurate - I was instantly transported back to dealing with customers who shouldn't have been allowed out of their homes.
Check out Charlie's first video below:Up first: "You're on the checkouts and something isn't scanning and they go, 'Oh, it must be for free then."
An absolute belter if I ever did hear one. As Charlie explains: "No, Stacey, it isn't for free, the barcode's just not p***ing scanning"
Second is the classic: "Oh, you look bored - I'll come to you." Now, speaking as somebody who has spent many hours of a shift "looking bored", I can assure you that I was simply avoiding talking to customers - so don't feel like you have to come to me.

"Number three is when [customers] queue for checkouts and are not concentrating," Charlie says, adding: "As soon as they notice the till in front of them is free - 'Oh, sorry dear, I was away with the fairies.'"
As Charlie snaps back: "No Karen, you were scrolling through Facebook criticizing people's parenting techniques instead of looking in front of you."
Number four is a line that is always guaranteed to make supermarket employees bleed from ears, as Charlie says: "[Customers] load a whole two weeks food shop onto your till and go, 'Oh, I only came in for one thing'. And then you've got to laugh and pretend you haven't heard that thirteen other times in the past half an hour."
Capping off her first video, number five is a classic: Asking how much something is instead of looking at the label or shelf. Honestly, is there anything more infuriating?
In her second video, Charlie blasts five more common things customers say to retail workers, including the always sarcastic: "You look happy to be here!"
But this is topped by the eyebrow-raising question: "Do you work here?"
As Charlie jokes: "No Michael, I'm stood in the Co-Op wearing a t-shirt that says 'The Co-operative' and stacking shelves. But no, I don't work here."
Number three in Charlie's second video: "I'm not shopping here again."
Once again, Charlie hits the nail on the head when she explains: "It doesn't affect my life in the slightest. What do you expect me to do? Get on my knees and beg you to come back?"
Up next is being asked by customers if a product is "nice", as if staff members have tried and tested every item on the shelves.
And finally, the now-infamous: "Can I speak to your manager?"
Well done, Charlie. All of these are so spot on I'm going to be having nightmares for the rest of the week.
