No matter what your personal taste in fashion is like, everybody should have the freedom to be able to wear whatever makes them feel comfortable and confident in public (laws permitting, of course).
However, one woman has taken to social media to proclaim that she is "allowed to exist and be hot" after claiming that her neighbor called the cops on her over her outfit choice.
TikTok user and dancer Rovi Wade (who uses the handle @rovi_wade), shared a fifteen-second clip with her followers showing her appearing to be talking with a police officer following an alleged complaint from her neighbor.
Wade wrote over the clip: "Yesterday my neighbor called the cops on me for dressing 'inappropriately'".
You can check out that clip below:A defiant Rovi, who lives in Los Angeles, can be seen telling the officer:
"I am fully dressed - she just doesn’t like my style. And I told her, 'My body offends you. That’s what the issue is.'
"And I’m allowed to exist and be hot, and I’m going to continue to do so. I don’t know what she expects you to do."
To which, the police officer simply replies: "I understand." The video has since amassed over 13.2 million views.
Needless to say, people were quick to praise Rovi for her self-confidence and jumped on her "I’m allowed to exist and be hot" line:

One person also commented: "Normalize letting people wear WHATEVER THEY WANT."

Rovi later shared a clip of her proudly showing off her outfit with her 130,000+ followers.
In the clip, Rovi can be seen wearing a large spike collar, a beaded string vest, ripped denim shorts, and thigh-high black boots.
Needless to say, she looked FIERCE!
And not only did people agree that Rovi's outfit was, as one commenter called it, "freakin fire" - but they also thought the neighbor's call to the cops was spurred on by nothing more than jealousy.

In a series of "storytime" videos posted to her account, Rovi later revealed that her neighbor informed her that she was calling the cops because she didn't want her children to see the outfit in question, as Wade was recording a video in the neighborhood.
Rovi then explained what happened when the police arrived, saying that her neighbor had told the police that Wade had been filming and trespassing on her property - a claim Rovi adamantly denied.
She then adds: "I just asked [the officer] to relay the message to my neighbor that I was going to continue to do what I want because I didn’t break any laws and I was well within my rights."
Let's just let people where what they want, shall we?
