A woman claims she was unfairly escorted off an Alaska Airlines flight by police - all because she was wearing a crop top.

Ray Lin Howard, a rapper and stylist from Fairbanks, Alaska, who posts TikTok content under the name, Fat Trophy Wife, opened up about the ordeal in a video on the platform that has now been viewed 1.3 million times, at the time of writing.

Howard captioned the video: "Flight attendant harassed and called the airport police on me for my inappropriate outfit."

She added: "I was escorted off the plane by police tonight. How's your night going?"

In the clip, the performer, who is wearing a purple leopard-print top, can be seen being taken to an interview room, where police question her on the incident - which occurred last month.

She is then heard telling the officers: "I was harassed about my outfit. I put my shirt back on."

Showing off her crop top, now underneath her leopard-print shirt, she adds: "I had this on, they asked me to put my shirt on, I put the shirt back on, and then, they approached me again, saying that I can’t wear this, my stomach is showing and it’s inappropriate."

Howard goes on to insist that she was covered up and reveals that she even told a cabin crew member to just kick her off if that is what she felt was necessary as she had already done what was asked of her - and yet was still being approached by staff over her outfit.

"That’s why you were called, because of this [outfit]" she adds.

The officer then assures Howard that she does not have to worry about being confronted with any criminal charges and that he simply wants to hear her side of the incident.

He then went on to say that the airline has its policy "it needs to follow", with Howard insisting that her choice of outfit was in keeping with the guidelines.

She said: "I looked it up, I’m within the dress code… I’m being harassed and now I’m being detained. I wore an outfit – that’s what happened."

In a follow-up video, she gave her followers another look at her "inappropriate outfit", which shows just a little bit of her midriff.

According to Alaska Airlines' guidelines, they require "a neat and well-groomed appearance."

The guidelines continued: "Clothing that is soiled or tattered and bare feet are never acceptable. You are expected to use good judgment, but customer service agents will have the final authority to refuse travel for inappropriate attire or appearance."
