With may of us doing the sensible thing and staying indoors, online shopping has become the safest and easiest method of buying anything we may need. However, online shopping has always come with its risks.

Being able to get anything sent to your house with just a few clicks may be convenient, but it also takes away your ability to "try before you buy". Now, a mom has hit out at online retailer PrettyLittleThing after buying a bodycon dress that left her chest totally exposed.

Amy Kerr purchased the black "underbust" style item for £5 ($6.25 USD), but after it arrived and she had tried it on, she realized she definitely wouldn't be leaving the house wearing it.

The mom then took to Twitter to complain to the retail giant about the fashion fail - comparing the model on the website with her own exposed experience.

She captioned the post: "PLT dresses are smart like."

The original tweet has since received over 7.4K Retweets and 87.6K Likes. Kerr posted a follow-up tweet to the retailers, asking: "@OfficialPLT can I have some free nipple covers to go with this dress".

One Twitter-user replied to Kerr, saying: "The top bit looks like it would barely cover a five year olds chest let alone an adult it’s so short [sic]".

Of course, this was a statement Kerr was happy to test herself, and Amy literally dressed her five-year-old son in the controversial outfit. And it actually fit kinda well...

"Here is the dress on a 5 year old for comparison purposes", Amy wrote alongside the image.

In subsequent tweets, Amy revealed that she did purchase the dress three sizes bigger than usual in an attempt to accommodate for her recently enhanced chest, but to no avail. She wrote on Twitter: "I bought THREE SIZES UP from my usual cos I know what they’re like"

"Even before I had boobs this wouldn’t have covered my nipples. Their sizing is a shambles," she added.

However, one Twitter-user who does own (and fit in) the dress, replied to Kerr, saying: "I have this dress and i love it".

To which Amy replied: "Looks so good on you!! I think mine was made wrong cos the cut is SO high".

Pretty Little Thing did eventually reply to Amy's tweet, writing: "Hey, we’re so sorry to see this. Please drop us a DM so we can look into this for you."
