A woman has sparked outrage online over "inappropriately touching" a Disney actor at a theme park.
In newly-resurfaced footage on social media, the woman can be seen approaching an actor dressed as Gaston from Beauty and the Beast, before placing her hands on his muscular chest as they pose together, Indy100 reports.
This unsolicited action did not go down well with the actor, and he proceed to pull away from her.
The actor then told the woman that she should "go", but despite his clear discomfort, she was unsure about whether or not he was serious.
She then started laughing before she tried to touch the actor's chest again.
Watch the shocking footage below:However, she eventually realized that the actor had actually been upset by her unsolicited actions when he failed to get back into character.
The footage of the uncomfortable exchange then ends with the actor telling the woman: "You're done," and that "there are children [here]."
The video was subsequently reposted to TikTok by a user named Evan Snead, who said the footage "just boils my blood" and explained why the actor should have never been treated this way.
"If you do not want a stranger going up to you, in public, at your place of work, and putting their hands all over you, then don't do it to the characters," Snead says. "The characters want you to have a great time, and enjoy meeting them, but it is their place of work. It is a family place of business."
The footage has now been viewed millions of times on TikTok, with many viewers taking to the comments section to express their outrage.
One wrote: "As a character performer please don't do things like this! And another big thing is please don't let your children run up hitting us and stuff!"
A second added: "how about we don't touch ANYONE without permission??"
A third wrote: "The fact [that] she didnt seem to understand why he was making her leave infuriates me! Why would you think it's OK to touch somebody you don't know! [sic]"
A fourth wrote: "And she's probably the same person who would be one of the loudest if someone went up and did that to someone [female-presenting]."
Meanwhile, a fifth added: "I think this applies to children too. I've seen too many videos of children kissing princesses & they're clearly uncomfortable but parents sit there [sic]."
Snead told The Independent of the viral video: "I hope it sheds some light on treating others with respect and reaches people who otherwise wouldn’t have known proper etiquette when it comes to meeting Disney characters."
