A woman who was left with no teeth after a dentist removed them all was left with a beautiful new smile with the help of a cosmetic dentist.

Brittany Negler from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, had battled addiction following the tragic death of her brother when she was 18 - which she blamed herself for.

Negler shared her story with Dr Kenny Wilstead, where she revealed: "For the longest time I thought I killed my brother. He had Ewing sarcoma. One day I woke up, and I had a feeling not to go to school."

She revealed that she went to lie in bed with her brother, and after 15 minutes she heard him gasp and he sadly passed away in the bed.

"I didn't know better, so I thought I killed him. Like, I thought I laid on his breathing tube or something," Negler said.

The tragedy left Negler hanging out with "the bad kids" where she began drinking and taking drugs in order to "numb" the pain of losing her brother.

Brittany continued: "I went to a dark place, I'm not going to lie. I started hanging out with the bad kids, started doing drugs to numb the feeling. I got really depressed. I was like, 'I need to take care of myself.'"

When she sought the help of a dentist after her teeth became damaged by her addiction, they simply removed them all and replaced them with oversized dentures, wrongly claiming that her teeth were damaged beyond repair.

"I went and got my records before I came here and it looks like they just made it up right before I came in," Negler told Dr. Wildstead.

"Because on there it says 'fixable by a root canal', but they never said anything about a root canal. They said my teeth weren't fixable; that they had to be pulled."

This left Negler struggling to eat and others mocked her appearance on social media which left her to reach out to Dr. Wildstead for help.

The cosmetic dentist was able to offer his assistance, and over a number of appointments he fitted Negler with removable dentures that leave her with a beautiful new smile.

She now credits the dentist for saving her life, as the lack of teeth left her unable to eat meaning she dropped to 79lbs and was "ready to throw the towel in."

But thanks to Dr. Wildstead and his wife, Negler now has a stunning new smile and has taken to TikTok where she shares her journey with her followers.

"Smiles really do change the world. I'm praying to start a non-profit to be able to help people smile and shine again," she said.

And social media users absolutely loved seeing Brittany's stunning smile, with one person commenting: "Your smile is absolutely stunning. This man changed her life and I'm here for it."

A second added: "I lost it when you saw your own smile in the mirror [...] I'm legit so HAPPY for you!"
