Real-life replicas of famous fictional abodes are difficult to come by most of the time because they don't, er, exist. You know, in real life.

I know this because however many times I try and find the real Hogwarts, I end up wandering around Scotland in the rain with nothing but a cagoule and a sense of crushing disappointment for company.

Now, that's been a bitter pill for me to swallow, but it has taught me a valuable lesson: if you want to live out your fantasies of occupying a beloved fictional world and the opportunity presents itself to you, you'd better grab it with both hands.

That's because Booking.com is offering fans of the Addams Family the opportunity to stay in a real-life replica of their famously eerie fictional mansion. They've set up shop in a three-storey 19th century Brooklyn townhouse, and it looks brilliant.
